Cix Health: Illustration & Iconography
Cix Health is a Richmond-based startup whose mission is to help make managing healthcare easier for everyone. One of my favorite things about working at a young startup like Cix Health was having the exciting opportunity to build a visual identity for the company. Since many of our users were dealing with stressful and overwhelming health situations, we wanted them to log in and feel comforted and supported while using our app.
Through research and user testing, we learned that incorporating detailed illustrations and colorful iconography made users feel delighted (an unexpected emotion when dealing with healthcare) and were more motivated to record important health information.
